Industry Trends | China's first "HSMT Technology Industry Application White Paper 1.0" officially released, drawing up a new blueprint for automotive HSMT technology industrialization implementation
Recently, the first "HSMT Technology Industry Application White Paper 1.0" (referred to as the "HSMT White Paper"), led by China Auto Chip (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "CACT"), was officially released and is now available on the official website of the HSMT Working Group. The HSMT White Paper was collaboratively created by multiple stakeholders within the Automotive Chip HSMT Working Group of the China Automotive Chip Standard Testing and Certification Alliance, representing a significant achievement in the industrialization of China's self-developed high-speed media transmission protocol.

Centered on the core principles of "practicality, implementation, and win-win," the HSMT White Paper deeply integrates the technical expertise of leading chip companies, the application experience of major vehicle manufacturers, and the standards and regulations of authoritative testing institutions. It systematically outlines the estate implementation path, core development challenges, and future trends of HSMT technology, covering the entire HSMT industry chain and forming a comprehensive, professional, and practical industry application guide.

The HSMT White Paper is divided into five core sections: current industry status, HSMT standards, testing and verification system, typical chip implementation cases, and industry development recommendations. These sections provide a comprehensive and in-depth analysis and planning for the HSMT industry.

For technological development, the white paper provides authoritative guidance for the research, testing, and application of HSMT technology in the era of high-speed data transmission in smart vehicles, promoting the full implementation of automotive high-speed transmission chip development, testing, and vehicle integration.
For industry development, the release of the HSMT White Paper fills the gap in China's front-end guidance for the application of HSMT technology in the industry, providing clear direction for all stakeholders across the industry chain and promoting technical collaboration and unified supply-demand information across the entire industry.

As the lead organization of the Automotive Chip HSMT Working Group under the China Automotive Chip Standard Testing and Certification Alliance, CACT will continue to focus on the development needs of the automotive chip industry, deepen the construction of the HSMT Working Group, and steadily advance the implementation of the 2026 HSMT technology ecosystem work plan. In terms of standard development, CACT will continue to promote the application of the HSMT protocol, support the National Technical Committee of Auto Standardization (NTCAS) in revising HSMT-related standards, and drive the improvement and implementation of the standard system. In terms of technical verification, CACT will continue to conduct interconnectivity testing activities to accelerate the development of automotive HSMT chips. In terms of ecosystem development, CACT will expand the membership of the HSMT Working Group, enhance the synergy across the industry chain, and improve solutions for automotive HSMT chips in more application scenarios.
