Weekly News of Science and Technology | In-Vehicle High-speed Media Transmission Chip Interconnection Test and Verification Activity Successfully Held
From May 27 to 30, 2025, the "Interoperability Testing and Verification Activity for Automotive High-Speed Media Transmission Chips," hosted by the China Automotive Chip Standard Testing and Certification Alliance (hereinafter referred to as "CAACCA") and co-organized by China Automotive Technology & Research Center Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CATARC Technology") and New Port Coast (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "New Port Coast"), was successfully held in Tianjin. Li Shouzao, Deputy Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Division of the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (hereinafter referred to as "TEDA"), attended the opening ceremony of the event. More than 60 experts and representatives from over 10 vehicle manufacturers and chip companies participated in the meeting.
At the event, Deputy Director Li Shouzao highly commended the outstanding achievements of CAACCA since its establishment and expressed his continued support for the alliance's development, emphasizing the need to work together with all participating organizations to explore more innovative models and development paths. Dr. Xia Xianzhao, Chief Expert of CATARC and Deputy Secretary-General of CAACCA, stated that CAACCA is committed to contributing to the development of the automotive chip industry and hopes that participating organizations can leverage this event to fully utilize their professional expertise and innovative spirit to achieve satisfactory interim results. Zeng Yi, Deputy General Manager of Operations at New Port Coast, noted that CAACCA provides an excellent platform for industry communication and expressed his willingness to collaborate with other chip companies to contribute to the formulation of group standards for the interoperability of automotive high-speed communication chips, as well as to testing and verification efforts, in order to continuously improve the quality of automotive chips. Following this, experts from chip companies and automakers engaged in discussions on topics such as the development technologies of automotive high-speed media transmission chips, testing and certification, challenges in interoperability, and the construction of the industry ecosystem, with a lively atmosphere at the event.

After the opening ceremony, multiple chip companies quickly entered the testing and verification phase, completed the setup of their environments, and made significant progress in their related work in an orderly manner.
The series of activities for interoperability testing and verification of automotive high-speed media transmission chips has been successfully held five times to date, achieving breakthroughs in video and audio chip testing technologies. This series of events aims to establish a testing and verification platform for the interoperability of transmission chips, address the challenges of interoperability testing and verification in the automotive industry, improve interoperability testing technologies, and promote the development of supplementary group standards based on the test results to enhance existing national and industry standards. The successful completion of this testing event marks a solid step forward for the industry in overcoming the challenges of interoperability testing and verification for automotive high-speed media transmission chips and in building an independent industry ecosystem.
In the future, as the secretariat of CAACCA, CATARC Technology will continue to promote related testing, verification, and application promotion efforts, focusing on research into automotive chip standards and testing and certification technologies, building a healthy ecosystem for the testing and application of automotive chips, and driving the vigorous development of China's automotive chip industry.
